    INFORMATION FOR 2010-2011 PROGRAMS

    Summer Programs Currently Underway

    Summer Dryland Training - All groups - May 1-August 31

    Intermediate fitness level.

    Basic Program:

    1 session/week, choice of Tues/Thurs evening or Sat morning

    Enhanced - 3 sessions/week, Tues/Thurs evening and Sat morning

    May 01 to Aug 31

    Summer Biathlon Shooting - Males and Females Age 13+ - May 1-August 31

    Participants should (some exceptions may apply) have completed Biathlon Bears or equivalent.

    Basic Program:

    Two Sessions/week, Wed Evening, Sat Afternoon

    May 01 to Aug 31

    Biathlon Bears - Males and Females Age 9-14

    Introductory Programs. Average athletic ability.

    One Session/week for 7 weeks, Wed Evening or Sat Afternoon

    Begins: 12 May (Wed), 15 May (Sat)

    And Year-Round Programs for the following (see below for links to more information):

    • Biathlon Shooting Firearms Program
    • Varsity Train to Compete
    • Senior Learn to Compete
    • Junior Train to Train

    FALL/WINTER PROGRAMS

    Track Attack - Male and Female, age 9-11(12)

    Participants must have basic classic and skate skiing abilities equal to completion of the Edmonton Nordic Jackrabbit program.

    Lynx - Male and Female, age 9-11(12)

    Runs at the same time as the Sunday Jackrabbit program, Jan 01 to March 31. Participants must have basic classic and skate skiing abilities equal to completion of the Edmonton Nordic Jackrabbit program.

    Junior Train to Train - Males aged 1 3 to 15(16), Females aged 13 to 15

    Participants are divided into training groups based on skill, fitness and physical development.

    Participants need to have intermediate classic and skate skiing abilities equal to completion of the Edmonton Nordic Track Attack program.

    Senior Learn to Compete - Males aged (16) 17 to 18, Females aged 16 to 18

    Participants are divided into training groups based on skill, fitness and physical development . Athletes will be placed into groups based on coach recommendations and space in each program.

    Varsity Train to Compete - Males and Females Age 18+

    Intermediate classic and skate skiing abilities. Intermediate to advanced fitness level.

    Masters Performance Train to Compete - Males and Females Age 25+

    Intermediate classic and skate skiing abilities. Intermediate to advanced fitness level.

    Junior and Senior Distance Training - Males and Females Age 14-18

    Intermediate classic and skate skiing abilities. Emphasis is placed on technique and distance training for loppets and other distance events.

    Biathlon Shooting Program - Males and Females Age 13+

    Participants should (some exceptions may apply) have completed Biathlon Bears or equivalent.
