It is very appropriate that we should be victorious on this long weekend. The final posts were installed at approx. 13:00 on Victoria Day – the Range Crew ticks off yet another capital project from the Biathlon Five Year Plan (and this one only took 15 months!).
Many thanks to the target line construction crew:
And to the merry band of others who contributed by moving lane numbers, lane signs, painting and all the other essential jobs that make the target line look so normal, i.e. IBU Standard.
This was another Biathlon capital project funded in major part by SISU, via the shared Casino Funds. Thank you for volunteering!
Message from Jay Smith:
On behalf of ENSC, I will be placing an order of Salomon team jackets and pants in the next couple of weeks. The jackets will be similar to the Salomon jackets and pants ordered a couple of years ago.
This strange timing is due to the fact that Salomon stock tends to run out by the time that we are placing our orders in the fall. Consequently, if you want Salomon team gear, this is likely the only chance you will have to order it.
(On the bright side, it will be ready for our first chilly day of dryland training!)
I am also ordering men’s and women’s sizing, so if you care about this sort of thing (i.e. if you’re a smaller female), seize the moment.
The style is the Momentum jacket and the Equipe pant — you can check them out on out Salomon’s site, although the colours shown there are from last year. Here are this years colours for jackets which we will order. 373795 (Mens) 373961 (Womans)
Jackets will be $131.25 ($125 + GST)
Pants will be $94.50 ($90 + GST)
This is a 40% discount from their retail prices, plus printing.
Track and Trail does not have samples of clothes to try on.
I will be collecting money — either cheques written to me, Jay Smith, or email money transfer to my email address, email@example.com. I will not be placing the order until I have collected all payment.
If you have any questions, please email me.
The ENSC, Track Attacks and Youth Development skiers had their wrap up party at the U of A climbing wall. It was well attended and the kids had a great time. I want to send out special thanks to our coaches who came out and especially Ellen, who spent her whole time belaying climbers along with 3 members of the U of A staff.
It was a great wrap up to a great season. Have a wonderful summer and see you in the fall.
