Biathlon is a combination of the endurance sport of cross country skiing and small bore rifle shooting. In Edmonton, we combine shooting with skiing, running, and mountain biking to provide a variety of year-round activities. In the winter season, it becomes an integrated Nordic sport, complementing our competitive ski programs.
Summer and Fall programs combine running and biking with shooting. Winter programs are on-snow and combine skiing and shooting. Biathletes in this program are expected to participate in other ENSC programs designed to improve endurance (Summer programs) and ski skills (Winter programs). |
