About Edmonton Nordic
Founded in 1979, the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club is one of Canada's largest nordic ski clubs.
ENSC offers a full range of coaching programs including Jackrabbits for youngsters, Lynx for developing youth skiers,
Cross Country and Biathlon racing programs for youths and adults, touring and loppet programs for all and
adult instructional lessons.
In addition, the ENSC develops and grooms trails in Goldbar and Goldstick parks in
east Edmonton and is completing it's Biathlon facility in the Strathcona Science park (17th street, north of
Baseline Road, south of Highway 16 E).
Membership is open to all who enjoy Cross Country Skiing.

ENSC's Community Service
Over the past 10 years, the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club has developed the trail system in Goldbar and Goldstick parks.
The two adjoining parks feature 10 km. of interconnected, illuminated ski trails ranging from the very easy to the more
challenging. Recreational and competitive skiers enjoy these during the day or evenings, seven days a week.
In Feb. 2000, with the assistance of the Edmonton Community Lottery Foundation, the club purchased a state of the art
Bombardier Grooming Tractor. Along with our heavy duty Skidoos, the Snow Cat allows us to maintain these trails and others
in the adjoining Capilano Park, providing Edmonton area skiers with the best groomed trails in Northern Alberta.
Our grooming efforts are supported by the City of Edmonton, Community Services.
ENSC is also continuing it's development of the Biathlon Facility in the Strathcona Nordic
Centre in the County of Strathcona. For more information on Biathlon see the Biathlon pages.

Summer 2010
Goldbar
Enjoy running the Goldbar trails - they're almost as much fun in the summer as when you're on skis! Watch out for dog walkers.
