  • Woodcutters is being groomed and tracked (as of 8 am)
Goldstick:
  • Esso hill has been packed, but the remainder of goldstick is skied in but not groomed.
Capilano:
  • is being rolled but not renovated as there is still a lot of ice under the surface as well as power line work that affects the trail.

Grooming Report – March 6th

As of 7pm:

Gold Bar
  • There’s a bit more than 4km of packed and tracked trail in GB.
  • Still avoiding the far east around the lake, the far west of 50th and the trail down the centre of the park.
  • All of the other areas are in very good condition with soft but deep track, and very little ice.
  • Woodcutters is now groomed and tracked. just watch for ice under the snow on the uphill toward Burke’s corner.
  • An attempt was made to put in a training grid, but the ice underneath was just too much.
Capilano
  • Ice under the snow so grooming there is on hold.
Goldstick
  • A pass through Goldstick was made yesterday, but the base is very icy and uneven under the fresh snow.
  • Grooming up there would be more harm than good at current.
  • Please use caution if you venture into those trails.

Grooming Report – 2nd March

As of 3pm

Gold Bar:
with a bit of renovating each day, the skate lanes are in fair – good shape. There is still ice underneath in spots, including retaining wall hill and along treeline.
  • Approx 3km of shallow track was set from the far end of 50th street through to midway east of the lake. it is quite icy by the pavilion.
  • Woodcutters is in poor shape throughout and not recommended

Grooming Report – February 21st

As of 2pm:
Areas from the grooming compound through half of the lake loop were renovated today including retaining wall hill, Georges chute and parking loop. The Treeline has held snow very well also. Skate lanes only – no tracks set.
All other areas are quite disconnected with water, ice or grass spots. The far west of 50th and the far east of lower Gold bar / lake loop are not groomed. Snow on the center line is disappearing quickly.
Woodcutters is not recommended due to ice and water.
Grooming in Capilano and Goldstick is on hold now as equipment cannot safely access these areas
