2017 Inner City Sprints

Edmonton Nordic Ski Club hosted the 1st ever Inner City Sprints with the generous help of Edmonton Ski Club and Cross Country Alberta, and sponsors Track n’ Trail and Salomon. Around 100 nordic skiers from Bunnies to Masters tackled the challenging course complete with slalom, sweeping curves, and a jump. Congratulations to all of our competitors, a huge thank you to all our volunteers & organizers, and kudos to ENSC Head Coach Ulf Kleppe and Paul Zimmermann for their vision in creating this new event.
Finally a special thank you to Ray Cislo who recorded, edited and produced this video

Salomon Inner City Sprints are a Go!

Edmonton Ski Club at noon today shows the snow conditions for the Inner City Sprints are good due to the large amount of man made snow. The recent melt has not significantly affected the depth of the snow pack. Grooming for the Skate Sprint Races will be done tomorrow and fresh snow is forecast for Saturday night. The long courses will be modified to keep them on the manmade snow.

  • Homemade cookies are provided for participants, as well as terrific draw prizes from Salomon and Track n’ Trail
  • Skiers of all ages are welcome!

Registration closes at 8pm on Saturday February 18th on Zone4
