Edmonton Nordic offers youth a wide range of opportunities to develop in our sport.

The Track Attack program is for kids between 9 and 14 years old who would like to try out racing and improve their technique and endurance.

Lynx is a program for kids between 9 and 14 years old who have finished Jackrabbits, but who have a more recreational focus than those in the Track Attack Program. This is specially designed for kids who want to keep skiing, have fun, and improve their technique and fitness.

The winter Biathlon Bears program is a great introduction to the exciting sport of Biathlon. Biathletes will learn more target shooting skills, do some pre-season training to get ready for winter, and participate in a fun winter biathlon event! All Bears practices take place at the ENCS air rifle range in the ENSC Nordic area. It is taught by Level III Biathlon instructor and CANSI Level III instructor in a combined skiing and shooting program.

There are a number of competitive training programs for youth right up to university age (and beyond) that provides skiers the opportunity to develop their skiing skills to a very high level. Conditioning and proper skiing techniques are stressed for beginning and developmental racers who are seeking an introduction to the excitement and glamour of cross country ski racing. Skiers with either biathlon or cross country interests train together for most sessions.
