Grooming Update – 10 Dec 2021

After some good skiing on Tuesday, the trails were rendered unskiable due to the frozen rain storm from Tuesday to Wednesday.  The crew had to wait for the temperature to drop enough prior to getting on the trails to maintain the best snow base we could.  Grooming commenced yesterday morning and it quickly became apparent that the ski-do and 4 track quad could not get enough grip to use for grooming.  Thankfully we have just enough base that the snow-cat was able to take to the trails.

As of yesterday afternoon:

Goldbar 50 street loop has been groomed for skating.  There are bare and icy sections and areas where there is ice under the snow – use caution.

Goldbar lake loop and treeline loop groomed for skating.  There are bare and icy sections and areas where there is ice under the snow.

Capilano has been groomed for skating.  There are bare and icy sections and areas where there is ice under the snow.

Goldstick and Woodcutters are not recommended.

Snow making is on hold until we see some consistent colder temperatures.
