Jan. 14, 2022 Trails Update/Notice

We all want to get skiing, so here’s a much anticipated update:

The temperatures in the park stayed below zero all day after a solid freeze overnight.  The team was able to be out in the snowcat during the day moving the man-made snow in the lake/stadium/treeline area onto the adjacent trails.

We were able to begin grooming operations with the snowcat and tiller on the trails system this evening and will be at it throughout the night in preparation for tomorrow (Saturday). This is a more time-intense process than regular grooming.

NOTE: skiing not recommended at this time – icy and fast conditions with machinery and grooming crew at work – we know you are all excited to ski, but please don’t come out just yet:-)

Please check you inbox, Nordic Pulse or the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club website Saturday morning for an update on ski conditions and grooming for the weekend prior to coming to the park to ski.

Thanks again for your patience and looking forward to seeing you on the trails!
