Dec. 10, 2022 Trails/Grooming

The team groomed and worked to continue maneuver the man made “snow whales” into Nordic ski trails.

Capilano: skate lanes freshly groomed. Existing machine set classic tracks in place.

Goldbar: skate lanes freshly groomed. Existing machine set classic tracks in place. The Northshore area is the thinnest area – caution advised with some possible icy areas where the snow is windswept.

Goldstick:  Existing machine set classic tracks in place. Classic skiing skier tracked only on the switchbacks and the south loop.

Snowmaking: The team made snow overnight as we continue to build the snow base on the Hadhirgaan, and the snow-guns will be removed this morning. The new “humps” of snow will stay in place to “cure”. Watch for the team working the humps into flat ski trails. In the meantime, caution advised around the humps. Recommend skiing Goldstick/woodcutters and/or Capilano.

Happy Trails from your Edmonton Nordic Grooming Team
