Wednesday Night Social Skis
Recreational skis occur every Wednesday evening throughout the season. Be ready to start from the Gold Bar shelter at 7 PM. We will ski the trails around Gold Bar, Goldstick & Capilano Parks at a leisurely pace for an hour or so. These outings are suitable for skiers of all levels. Afterwards, we often go to Second Cup for coffee.
Weekend Day Trips
Day trips to ski areas within 1-2 hours drive of Edmonton will be held on weekends throughout the season. We will carpool out to the ski venue. Some of the ski areas we plan to visit include Blackfoot, Fort Saskatchewan, Tawatinaw Valley, Drayton Valley, Chikakoo Lake & Camrose. On these trips, we usually ski for a few hours and cover distances between 15 and 20 km. These trips are more geared for intermediate skiers. However, many of the areas do have shorter options for less experienced skiers.
For Sunday trips, depending on the destination we will either meet at the South East corner of Bonnie Doon Shopping Mall parking lot, or the North East corner of the parking lot of Westmount Shopping Centre (across from Walmart). We will decide on carpooling options when we meet.

Weekend trips may be arranged depending on demand.
Annual End to End River Valley Ski – Date TBD
Join us for our annual ski through the Edmonton River Valley from Goldbar Park to Whitemud Creek. If this seems too much, ski as far as our lunch stop at Kinsmen Park.

Moonlight skis as conditions permit
Participation in the regional loppet series
Please note, the venues and dates of these recreational skis are likely to change depending on current snow conditions. We will try to find the places with the best current snow conditions. Please contact Katrina Wilson (ensc.recreationalski@gmail.com) for the latest updates.

With respect to the Lake Louise camp (Remembrance Day Weekend),ENSC will NOT have pre-booked rooms for participants. You will be responsible for finding your own accommodations with HI-Hostel Lake Louise or nearby hotels.
