Cross Country Summer Program

Edmonton Nordic Ski Club (ENSC) provides Summer Dryland Training Programs to meet the needs of those 13 yrs+ to and including Adults.  Both Biathlon and Cross Country skiers are encouraged to participate. We offer a full program for those who are interested in year round training.

Programs run from the beginning of May until the end of August.

We offer 4 streams:

  • General Summer Dryland Summer Training introduces younger athletes to other modes of training to maintain and improve endurance and strength without being ski specific.
  • SKI Specific Training offers more of a ski focus with emphasis on strength training and technique.  Both adults and youth wanting ski specific training through the summer can participate.
  • Strength Training is an important aspect for improving all movements involved in cross country skiing. It is also helpful for injury prevention.  Our strength training program is available for both youth and adults at least once a week.
  • ADULT Roller Skiing is a good fit for those adults who want to improve their technique through roller skiing.

Head Coach Ulf Kleppe will lead all programs (Assistant coaches will be hired if numbers warrant.)
