Summer Training

Summer Program - July 4 - August 31, 2026

Registration link for general club membership coming soon!

Skiers are made in the Summer!

To be a successful cross country skier, a lot time is spent training in the summer when the days are longer and the weather is more accommodating for lots of different activities. We use a multitude of modes to help improve our fitness, strength and ski technique. Group training activities include: ski striding, trail running, hiking, biking, strength training and both skate and classic rollerskiing.

This summers programming will be delivered in the form of day camps rather than weekly 90 minute sessions. The goal of the camps will be to keep skiers on track with their summer training providing a full day of coaching which will include intensity and technique guidance along with team building endurance challenges.

The program is primarily for athletes U16 and older, exceptions will be made for U14’s at the discretion of the Head Coach. There will not be an alternative to roller skiing when those days are happening.

Equipment requirements:

  • Classic rollerskis, classic poles with rollerski tips

  • Skate rollerskis, skate poles with rollerski tips

  • Bike in good working condition, road or mountain
