WHO: Those who have successfully reached Jackrabbit (JR) 3 or 4, and like having FUN and being active for up to 1.5 hours. The participant will attend two days per week in a full season program (from September to March).
WHAT: Fall Session (Dryland): Practices will include games and activities that promote fitness and FUN, using movement skill activities (agility, balance, coordination) and running.
Winter Session (On-Snow): Participants acquire basic ski skills while developing agility, balance, coordination and speed with an emphasis on FUN and participation!
U10 Development athletes will refine foundational skills mostly through games and play. This team covers all the skills of Jackrabbits Level 3 and 4 while skiing twice per week, improving skills and fitness through more time on skis. Skiing at least twice per week is recommended for children aged 8-10 in Cross Country Canada’s Skill Development program.

Dryland locations will vary: Gold Bar Park, Gallagher Park, Kinsmen Park & other locations communicated to participants.
On snow location: Gold Bar Park, Goldstick Park & Capilano Park
COST: $575 – 2 day

EQUIPMENT:
Skis – classic or combi skis, skate skis for later in the season
Boots – classic and skate or combi boots
Poles – classic and skate poles
Headlamp
Rental equipment is available. An email to registered families will be sent late October outlining how to rent equipment for the upcoming season.
