Adult Lessons
We offer small-group lessons to those looking to learn how to ski for the first time as well those who are looking for instruction in both intermediate and advanced technique in both classical and skate skiing. All of our instructors are CANSI certified and excellent at what they do.
Train To Train
Participants with Intermediate or above cross country ski technique and fitness. Participants will be divided into subgroups based on speed and ability. Skiers will run, stride, and do general strength training during dryland sessions. On-snow sessions may include skiing continuously up to 1.5 hours, with hydration breaks. Participants will identify the group’s focus (races or other events) for the season.
Learn To Train
This 22 week (12 fall and 10 winter) supportive class combines skill improvement with fitness and develops a coaching relationship to help you achieve your goals. Intended for skiers who want to improve technique and develop strong fitness levels. This class is a bridge to the Adult Train to Train program. Join others who wish to advance their skiing ability to the next level.
Recreational Group
The recreational ski group is a chance to go skiing with other skiers in and around Edmonton. No need to be an expert, all abilities are welcome to come enjoy the snow.
Learn To Coach
This initiative was launched to help develop new coaches and /or develop “old” coaches who wish to further their knowledge and experience. Learn to Coach may satisfy the desire to remain active, to learn how to coach while contributing to their and others’ growth as a cross country skier. It will also fill a much needed role within the Club.
